Shakespeare Festival
My mom, my cousin Emily and I went to the Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City for the 4th of July weekend. So much fun. It was good to leave Provo. We saw Cyrano de Bourgerac (spelling??), Fiddler on the Roof, School for Wives, and Taming of the Shrew. Our favorite was definitely Taming of the Shrew. It was done in ’40s style with Italian accents and a Brando style mobster, etc. There were American GI’s, etc. I got a Taming of the Shrew shirt and we joked that if I wore that in Provo everyone would see it and comment to me, “It’s about time.”
It was fun to have Emily there. We had to poke my mom a lot during the plays to keep her awake…that’s the Horton gene for you.
