CNN, Where’s your Women?

Ok.  I know CNN has women during the day but what happened to the nightly line up when I’m actually home?  After Parker left, there are no women.  I get that the nightly demographic of news watchers tend to be male but please, a little feminine for us poor females who actually enjoy watching CNN.  Here’s my feminine view point on the casters:

Anderson Cooper: Human, in the action, hip.  He keeps stories alive when they should and his opening lines are becoming more and more moving.  He can lighten up, serious the stories, and strive for neutrality.  Keep Anderson.

Piers Morgan:  Hmmm.  I was excited in the beginning, wanting the British perspective and getting some new blood.  Instead I am learning to appreciate the skill of Larry King now that he is gone.  He doesn’t seem to be confident enough in himself and then tries to over compensate.  I’m still open for him to morf into the role but he doesn’t pass yet.

Spitzer:  Come on CNN.  It’s kind of a slap in the face to put a guy in there who is nationally recognized for leaving office after hooker affairs and then talk over your female co-host all the time to finally drive her away.  I don’t think they were a good match, actually.  Parker needed a little more gusto and energy.  But she was more professional than Spitzer.  Spitzer sometimes over sensationalized a few things like the guys around the table who think they know about politics but are missing a few key facts.  Know what I mean?

I like Spitzer’s energy and quick wit, though.  My favorite interviews with Spitzer  are when he’s head to head with a politician.  Since he knows their insides, he can spill their guts.  That’s something to watch.  However, please please don’t replace Parker with a man.  We need a little skirt.  I wouldn’t advocate for all women casters either.  I like balance.

I don’t make it home in time for a lot of the other guys, to have a solid opinion.  Keep Wolf.  Something about him keeps me watching.  I like John King and especially the funny guy at the end, what’s his name?  I’m not always interested in the stories he does but I like it when he goes 3D on the story board.
