Don’t ask me why I did this, but I did a sushi demonstration for a wedding shower yesterday. My family makes more sushi than pot roast. When a girl made a shout-out on the listserv for a sushi demonstrator I said, why not. We are big Asian food lovers.
And making sushi is so tactile. You can put the ingredients in front of you, roll and eat as you go. It’s an eating adventure bringing you closer to your food. This is opposed to cutlery which keeps you inches away with its silver handles. 
How much do I wish I could have been there? A LOT!
I got in on some of the sushi tasting. Gotta love it. Sushi is one of my all time favorites. Audrey can roll better than the sushi rollers we saw at the National Japanese Street Festival on Pennsylvania Avenue just off the Mall. Way to go!!
