Active
Summer hit so it’s taken me a while to get used to a new schedule and keep up the writing. I’ve gone to a Nationals baseball game and I’ve been active. It feels great.
Tennis
Swimming
Gym (Weights/Cardio)
Long Walks
3/4/5 times a week.
I did have my first gym misstep, though, this past week. I couldn’t see the safety for one of the machines I used–had to feel the safety lock instead. I thought it was set but I had actually not completely secured it. It fell on me as I was getting out of it and threw me down. Luckily I only suffered a jammed finger but a jammed finger is a problem for a professional ASL interpreter. A few bags of ice and massage later and I through it. Phew… It’s a reminder that physical exercise can be a liability as well as a boost for a physical career.

So glad you are safe and well.
Yay for a new blog post! It’s been so long!! I’m glad to hear that you are enjoying your summer. Neal also jammed a finger last night while exercising — even though his livelihood (what livelihood? Ha!) isn’t affected by it, it has been more inconvenient than he expected…picking up Addison, typing papers, etc. I’m glad yours is on the mend.
