Suddenly in Bangkok
I had a confirmed ticket for Bangkok just hours before I left for two weeks. I didn’t even know I was going until the evening before and knew a couple days before that about the job in the first place. When I joked about always having a current passport and a nearly packed suitcase to leave the country at a moments notice, I didn’t think it might actually happen one day.
But the really beautiful thing about suddenly being in Bangkok, is that you are not mentally prepared for it. Meaning for example, the shock on the first morning I leave my hotel room for the complimentary breakfast and find an array of Thai food. Not exactly what you are expecting when you are still waking up and unoriented to your surroundings.
Ah, but unending Thai food must be the most heavenly unoriented suprise I have ever experienced. 
I wish I could have enjoyed those Thai food buffets!! Wow, adventure!!
